Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?+
Cropping, rotating, enhancing, resizing and exporting all run inside your browser — those photos never leave your device. The only exception is AI background removal, which has to run on a GPU server. Those images are processed and discarded immediately; nothing is stored, and nothing is attached to an account.
Do I need an account?+
No. Every tool on this page works signed out. Background removal is the one metered feature — you get 5 free AI cut-outs per day without an account, and a free account raises that limit.
How many photos can I edit at once?+
200 per session. Each photo holds its original, its crop and its cut-out in memory at the same time, and past roughly 200 the browser tab starts to swap. Download and clear the batch to start another.
What formats can I export?+
PNG, which keeps transparency after background removal, and JPG, which gives much smaller files. Output can be capped at 600px, 1000px or 1600px on the long edge, or left at full size.
Is it really free?+
Yes. There is no watermark, no sign-up wall and no trial timer. The browser-side tools are unlimited; only AI background removal is capped, because each cut-out costs real GPU time.
